Pumpkins have to be one of my favorite Fall things. This year 30 pumpkins were donated to our class by some of our wonderful parents. I was so excited for my students to have the opportunity to investigate the pumpkin. First, we started by measuring, tracing, and describing our pumpkins. I ask the groups to come to a consensus on how many seeds they believe were inside their pumpkin. The students then pulled out all the goo and started counting their seeds. We enjoyed some other extended activities with the pumpkins. Check out our video below.
